Full name: Rudyard Kipling  he was born in Bombay – India on December 30th  1865

When he was 6 years old, he was sent to England, but at the age of 17,he returned to India where he worked as a journalist.

Parents: Alice Kipling and Joeyhn Lockwood Kipling. It was told that his mother was an intelligent and sly woman, His father was a British army officer besides, he was a professional sculptor and pottery designer, and he taught Architectural sculpture in the Jejeebhoy school of Art and Industry.

He was a writer and poet , He is well remembered due to his writings about British soldiers

He attended to United Service College Where he fell in love with  Florence Garrard, a Young  lady  who would become  his inspiration to create one of the characters for his novel  ‘’The light that Failed’’.

At the age of 25, he was a famous author and also was very controversial among the critics who found the virility and honestly on his novels appalling.

 On March 9th 1889, the author  left  his birth country (to which he had returned in 1882), to begin a journey which would allow him to visit several places in United States and Canada. Three years later, on January 18th 1892, Rudyard Kipling got married with Carrie Balastier. Three kids were born from this marriage, Josephine (1892), Elsie (1896) and John (1897).

Literary works: he wrote ‘’the jungle book’’ published  in 1894 which was one of most popular books ever: it was about jungle animals stories  that in away shows moral lessons.

Kim: Published in 1901, having the political conflict of central Asia as main topict, between the Russian Empire and the British Empire, called The Big Game. Noticeable because of the perfect portray of an Indian town and its several religions.

He was the first British writer awarded  the Nobel prize of literature in 1907. It could be said that kipling’s  necessity of writing war unstoppable. 

Besides writing several nobels, numerous short tales and about 800 verses, the writer contributed  whit the creation of the army newspaper ‘’ the friend’’ and he joined  War Graves Comission, and organization stablished in 1917 to deal with all dead bodies belonging to the fighters who participated in the First World War, conflict in which kipling  lost his son

On January 18h 1936, a internal bleeding ended with Kipling´s life who was considered by many as the Empire Writer.
